Bb has been getting burned by the music business for the last 15 years. As a writer, performer and producer – he can now be found dwelling in The Manor – his subterranean home studio. Bb has produced artists across many genres, including rock, hip-hop, reggae, experimental and avant-garde. His personal archive includes hundreds of compositions ranging from acoustic to orchestral – and his influences include the likes of Brian Wilson, Steve Albini, Stewart Copeland and Beck.

Q: When did you first fall in love with music? Which musician? What was inspiring?
A: Fell in love at a very early age. Probably 4 or 5. My mother was passionate about rock and roll - and I remember being in the back seat of her car driving around listening to tons of great music. When I was about 6, my mother bought me a cheap record player and a hand-me down copy of HELP by the Beatles. It was the first record I ever owned - and I listened to it over and over - dissecting the instrumentation and vocal arrangements in every track. What a great textbook that was.

Q: As a performer, what current musician are you most comparable to?
A: Good question - I’m not sure because I don’t perform live that much anymore. Most likely someone like Modest Mouse - because he never plays the same show twice - and he’s always using tons of weird gadgets and household appliances on stage to make interesting music.

Q: What’s your zodiac sign?
A: Taurus I think
